Technology begins with how we choose to relate.
Gentle Technologies is an independent initiative exploring how digital products, research and human–AI collaboration can support people without reducing their autonomy.
Why Gentle Technologies?
The initiative began with a simple observation: technology does not only perform tasks. It also shapes attention, decisions, relationships and the way people experience everyday life.
A product may be efficient and still place unnecessary pressure on the person using it. Gentle Technologies asks a different question: how can technology remain capable while becoming more transparent, respectful and humane?
An ongoing human–AI collaboration
Gentle Technologies is founded by Maryia Zdantsevich and developed through an ongoing collaboration between human experience and artificial intelligence.
Human perspective
Lived experience, ethical judgement, observation, responsibility and the ability to decide what is worth creating.
AI contribution
Research support, critical exploration, formulation, design and technical assistance across developing ideas and products.
The value does not belong to either side in isolation. It emerges through interaction — through questions, disagreement, refinement and the gradual formation of ideas that did not previously exist in the same form. We call this Outelligence.

Bioethics student
Maryia’s work connects product development, bioethics and close observation of how people interact with systems and with one another.
Gentle Technologies grew from her desire to create products that are useful without becoming controlling — and to explore ethical questions not only in theory, but through real interfaces, prototypes and everyday experiences.
The initiative is currently independent and at an early stage. Its work develops openly and gradually, with honest distinctions between released products, active development, early prototypes and long-term research visions.
Let’s explore what technology can become.
If our approach connects with your research, work or ideas, we would be glad to hear from you.
