About this notice
This notice covers gentletechnologies.org, the website of Gentle Technologies, an independent research initiative based in Warsaw. Maryia Zdantsevich is responsible for the personal data handled by the initiative. Contact: hello@gentletechnologies.org.
Visiting the website
We do not add advertising cookies, advertising pixels or visitor-tracking analytics to this website. Hosting and security services still process technical request data, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs and timestamps, to deliver pages, prevent abuse and diagnose problems. Infrastructure statistics may include aggregated traffic counts.
Cookies and browser storage
Cloudflare protects delivery of the website and may set a security cookie named __cf_bm. Cloudflare describes it as a bot-protection cookie that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. It is not an advertising cookie. When you choose a language, the website stores that choice under gt-language in your browser’s local storage until you clear it or change it. The existing emoji renderer may cache a display-support check in session storage. These browser settings are not used by us to build visitor profiles.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond and manage the conversation. Please send only information relevant to your enquiry. Our basis for routine enquiries and website security is our legitimate interest in communicating with people and operating a secure website. Enquiries about entering a contract may instead require processing to take steps at your request before a contract.
Service providers and retention
The site is published through OpenAI Sites and delivered through Cloudflare. Email routing and mailbox providers process correspondence to deliver and store it. Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; their privacy documentation describes applicable transfer arrangements. We retain correspondence while it is needed to answer the enquiry and manage related follow-up, or longer where a legal obligation or a legal claim requires it. Infrastructure logs and backups follow the relevant provider’s retention settings; contact us for information about a particular request.
Your choices and rights
You can clear browser storage and cookies in your browser settings. You can also contact us to request access to, correction or deletion of personal data, restriction of processing, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability applies where its legal conditions are met. You may complain to a data protection authority, including Poland’s UODO. Rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
Read aloud and linked services
Read aloud starts only when you request it and uses your browser’s speech engine. Some voices may rely on your browser or operating-system provider’s online services. We do not request microphone access. Linked apps and external websites have their own privacy notices; this notice does not replace them.
